Stamina and dash

Every hero can dash, and dashes spend stamina. Most heroes start with 3 stamina pips (check each hero’s stat panel). Dash-jumping, a dash followed quickly by a jump, carries you much further than either move alone. It’s how you chase people down and how you get away.

Sprint and slide

Out of combat you sprint automatically for bonus speed. Sliding keeps momentum, and sliding down slopes accelerates you. Slide out of a corner, then dash-jump, to cross open streets faster than anyone walking.

Ziplines

Ziplines carry you hands-free, so you can shoot and cast while riding. Use the boost to accelerate. You can drop off at any point — the best ganks come from a zipline over the enemy’s head, not from the end of the line.

Melee and parry

Light melee is quick; heavy melee charges up and hits much harder. If you see an enemy wind up a heavy melee, parry: a successful parry stuns them and leaves them open. It works the other way too. Fake the heavy melee, let them whiff the parry, and shoot them while it’s on cooldown.
